He needs 2 dental implants which are $4000 each, a set of partial dentures which are $3600, and multiple teeth extracted. He needs extensive dental work done so that he can chew his food properly without pain. It is a very specific kind of pain to watch your own parent struggle to chew. He's always tried to protect us by never showing how much pain he was in until now.

Our dad has already spent almost half of his life with his most important teeth missing. Unfortunately, my dad's dental health is rapidly declining and he has very few teeth left, all of them at the front of his mouth which has made it painful and difficult to eat. But we all know that time is the only constant in this journey we call life. When I was younger, I thought my parents would never get old. My dad has always supported our dreams - he always told us that we could be whatever we wanted to be. My parents always gave and gave and never asked us for anything in return, a truly unconditional love. My parents are both first-generation immigrants who have worked hard their entire lives (mostly doing labor in restaurants) to make sure that my brother and I always had everything we needed to succeed-providing for my brother to play water polo and for me to be in the marching band all 4 years of high school. Growing up, my dad always put our family's needs before his in everything, from giving my brother and I the tastiest pieces of steamed fish to buying me the entire Harry Potter Series in hardback because he knew how much I loved to read (even if it meant spending the last few dollars of his paycheck).

(TLDR Scroll to the bottom for ways to help.) Please bear with me as this is a lengthy post.
